Solar Radiation Notes

GHI represents solar energy received on a horizontal surface and is suitable for weather analysis, solar resource assessment and site comparison.

GTI / Plane-of-Array represents solar energy received on a tilted PV module surface and is recommended for PV performance analysis, PR assessment and energy yield estimation.

When GTI is selected, enter panel tilt and azimuth. For India, a common starting point is 15° tilt and 0° azimuth, meaning south-facing in Open-Meteo convention.
